Getting there
MUTEK is located at Haarlem train station. It is the only art museum located at a train station, and therefore behind the public transport (OV) gates. The museum has entrances on platform 3 and platform 6. The entrances are located under the tile tableau ‘Haarlem’.
By train
Coming by train? You check out at the check-in/check-out pole in the museum. After your visit, you check in again at the same pole and continue your train journey.
By car
There is a parking garage opposite Haarlem station (Lange Herenstraat 11).
By bus
Many bus routes stop at the station square.
Entering the station
To reach MUTEK, you check in at the access gates with a public transport chip card or debit card. Then take the stairs or the elevator to platform 3 or 6, where the entrances to MUTEK are located. You check out again at the check-in/check-out pole in the museum. This way you can reach MUTEK free of charge.
Information about using your debit card, credit card, or phone for checking in can be found here: https://www.ns.nl/reisinformatie/inchecken-uitchecken/betaalpas.
Accessibility
It is not possible to visit the museum with a mobility scooter, given the limited space. Wheelchairs are welcome. Due to the special location on the platform, you must take the stairs or the elevator. The museum is on one level (ground floor).
Dogs are not allowed.
Food and Drink
You can get a sandwich and coffee at StationsHuiskamer next to MUTEK. Haarlem city centre (a ten-minute walk) has many cafés and restaurants.
